Heads Up for this Elie Tahar Blouse
The garment: A beige silk blouse with sequins all over the bodice. The care label states: dry clean short cycle in a net bag-do not iron on decoration with the corresponding International Code Symbol for short cycle cleaning.
The problem: During professional dry cleaning on a short cycle as labeled, the sequins on the front dissolved in the solvent, resulting in them all sticking together creating a white stiff mess.
Who’s responsible? The manufacturer since the sequins were not able to withstand the recommended care
instructions without severe damage.
What to do: This blouse should be returned to the retailer or manufacturer.
